Ministry of the Interior, Digitalization and Local Government Baden-Württemberg - The Ministry of the Interior 
Digitalization and Local Government Baden-Württemberg, as the supreme civil protection authority in the state, is responsible for situations that extend beyond the area of one of the subordinate higher civil protection authorities, i.e. the regional councils of Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Freiburg and Tübingen. It also carries out the technical supervision in disaster control and can take over the management of disaster control from a subordinate body in an emergency. The Ministry's tasks also include requesting and arranging national and international assistance if the country's own resources to combat disasters are no longer sufficient. It forms the contact point for the GMLZ via the situation centre of the state government of Baden-Württemberg, which is constantly manned.

General Secretariat for Civil Protection - The General Secretariat for Civil Protection (GSCP) now under the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection, has been Greece’s National Civil Protection Authority since 1995. Its mission is to assess, plan, organize, and coordinate the country’s comprehensive peacetime emergency management efforts, including all hazards, all phases, all stakeholders and all impacts. Its aim is the protection of life, health, property, the environment and cultural heritage. It issues, at central level, National Plans for all kinds of natural and man-made disasters. It also organizes and supervises the civil protection volunteerism system. The General Secretariat for Civil Protection represents exclusively, the Hellenic Republic on all issues related to civil at the international level, being the single focal point for EU and for international cooperation in civil protection.

Resilience Solutions International - Resilience Solutions International (RSI) is a consulting company from Austria established in 2017 and founded by Christian Resch. He is managing director and SME owner. He acts as senior expert and chief technical advisor in civil protection and disaster risk reduction. The company employs various short-term experts for its activities. As CBRN Defence Officer, EU Civil Protection Expert, UNDAC member and INSARAG classifier he was involved in several national and international disaster response missions. For MAGNITUDE, Christian Resch and his team will coordinate EXCON and mainly be involved in the planning and conduct of the exercise.

University of the Bundeswehr Munich – The University of the Bundeswehr Munich (UniBw) was founded in 1973 and consists of a university part and a part for applied sciences. It is one of two research universities in Germany at federal level as part of the German Armed Forces and employs approximately 1.500 personnel and has about 3.800 students. The institution offers civilian academic education for military officer candidates and officers and an increasing number of civilian and international students. Research and teaching at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich are free, and excellent scientific facilities enable internationally competitive research at a high level. One research focus of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich are high reliability and civil protection organizations, with an emphasis on application con-texts such as safety and security management and emergency management.

Furtwangen University - Furtwangen University,  is a prestigious state university of applied sciences established in 1850. It offers a broad range of academic programs, including Health Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, International Business, Digital Media, Business Informatics, and Industrial Engineering. The Institute for Applied Research plays a central role in managing third-party funded research projects and supports the faculties in content development. The university actively collaborates with public agencies and private sector companies in both education and research, enhancing real-world applications and innovations. One of Furtwangen University's prominent areas of expertise is Hazard Control. The institution provides two specialized safety degree programs: a Bachelor’s in Security & Safety Engineering and a Master’s in Risk, Reliability, and Safety Engineering. These programs equip graduates with the necessary skills for successful careers in emergency and disaster management, safety management, administrative roles, and fire brigade management, making a significant contribution to civil protection efforts in Germany.

Federal Office for Civil Protection FOCP – The Federal Office for Civil Protection in the Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport is basically responsible for civil protection at federal level. Federal Office for Civil Protection consists of the business areas (organizational units): strategy and control, program management, Resources, National Alarm Center and Incident Management, civil defence and training, Laboratory Spiez. He is responsible for the political and risk-based official strategy and the further development of Swiss civil protection to prevent and deal with disasters and emergencies. He provides information within the office, within the department and externally (population, other federal agencies, cantons, operators of critical infrastructure). He creates legal and risk-based foundations, controls political transactions and is responsible for project portfolio management at official level. The FOCP is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and Humanitarian Aid HA. It focuses on emergency aid, reconstruction and rehabilitation of affected areas and disaster preparedness abroad. The Swiss Rescue Chain or modules thereof specialise in locating, rescuing and providing initial medical care to people trapped by earthquakes abroad.

Federal Ministry of the Interior Austria: Disaster relief and operational precautions in Austria lies primarily within the responsibility of the nine provinces. The legal basis is formed by the disaster relief laws of the provinces, which primarily determine the identification of the disaster and the official operational management in the communities, districts and the whole province as well. In the event of crises and disasters, there is an increased need for coordination, which is provided and facilitated by the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior. It enables efficient disaster relief in Austria and abroad by strengthening and facilitating the cooperation between all responsible national authorities, the civil protection authorities of the provinces and first responder organizations, as Fire Services, Medical Services and other involved NGO’s in country.
